As a former physicist, Tom Dignan holds more than 10 years of experience in technology and research, propelling him from the scholarly world of subatomic particles to the executive ranks of the online industry. After completing his undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University in three years, Tom Dignan graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Physics and enrolled at Harvard University at the age of 19, earning both a Master?s and a Ph.D. in Physics. Dr. Dignan continued his research in particle physics as a Junior Postdoctoral Scholar at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). At SLAC, Dr. Dignan contributed to the BaBar experiment alongside physicists working around the world and developed software for scientific data analysis and monitoring electronic systems.

Then in 2000, Tom Dignan entered the field of mobile web technology after landing a senior engineering position at Excite@Home, where he developed web-based applications for wireless devices, such as cell phones and PDAs. Over the next several years, Tom Dignan worked as a Software Engineering Manager for Yahoo! Mobile and EarthLink, Inc. He also held senior positions at Hands-On Mobile, Inc., where he served first as Director of Software Engineering, then as Vice President of Engineering. During his tenure as Vice President of Engineering, Dr. Dignan managed an international team of nearly 100 engineers and supervised the production of applications, platforms, web-based services, and games including World Poker Tour Texas Hold ?Em and Guitar Hero World Tour Mobile.

Since 2009, Tom Dignan has led the engineering and research divisions of Reputation.com, Inc. Currently, Dr. Dignan oversees the development of Reputation.com?s ever-evolving portfolio of privacy and reputation management products as Vice President of Research. Prior to taking command of the research department, Dr. Dignan served as Vice President of Engineering until August 2010. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
